The mount does not work on most, if not all, mountain bike stems. The image shows it on a cruiser-style stem. On both a Trek and Diamondback mountain bike (one a 26" and one a 24"), the top of the holder is in direct contact with where the stem meets the handlebars, and the bottom of the holder is in direct contact with where the vertical of the stem stops, and the canted / angled piece begins. So unless you want the top *and* bottom of your phone directly in contact with the metal of the stem, don't buy this. It'll scratch / begin to damage your phone immediately.

For reference, I tested it with both an iPhone 7 and a Galaxy Note 8, on both a 26" Trek and a 24" Diamondback. All four permutations are useless / a recipe for damage to the phone. I'm returning it as very clearly *not* matching the item description.

I saw lots of other products for mountain phones but I specifically wanted one that would go on the center stem bar. It was hard to find a product that would allow for this configuration and I believe this was the only one I could find. The design is minimal and flexible but sturdy. I feel the rubber loops at the edges hold the phone strongly enough so that if I ever took a fall the phone would stay mounted. I also love that it's not encased in anything and the phone is out in the open so you can still interact with the screen and buttons. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Didn’t take anything extra to figure out how to set up. Just pulled it out, wrapped it around the stem and we were good to go. I love how easily it can be swapped between bikes, and it’s very sturdy for my phone even on very rough rural Indiana roads (even at high speeds 30+mph) I will note that I have a very large iPhone 8+, but the straps seem as though they would fit a much smaller phone.

Great product to hold your phone. I recommend it to any one wanting a stem phone holder.

Not very sturdy

A great product that is versatile, easy to install, and use. An excellent purchase.

Broke after 3 months. Have an older version that’s still holding up fine.

I have a Iphone X with the face recognition unlock and this mount hold the phone perfectly so a tap and a quick glance down unlocks the phone and it is ready to go. The mount holds the phone securely to the stem cap area on my bike. I have take significant bumps, drops and bunny hops and this thing hasn't moved.

I like the product , are use it for my road bike.
