I was needing a stem mount cell phone holder and this looked like it would do it. They advertised many great features including: "Soft Silicone Material never scratch or damage your expensive devices". It broke my phone on my first bike ride. I ride a Trek road bike on ALL paved paths. I was about 7 miles into a ride and going down hill over small bumps (no speed bumps) and the little bounce destroyed my phone. It didn't fall off, but the little bounce on the phone holder had a enough impact to break the phone. This is a pic of it about 2-3 hours after my ride (totally black screen by the next morning). I have no choice but to buy a new phone. Also I will now be buying a better Stem phone cell phone holder. It doesn't pay to go cheap, think about how much your phone is worth. I've learned this the hard way. I'm hoping this will encourage others to get a better padded/secure phone holder. I only fault myself for not thinking through the design of this as there isn't really much to it.
Could not keep it from slipping around even on the last notch
It ripped after a few uses. My cell phone banged against my bike.
It firmly secures my phone through out my ride
The mount is light, very sturdy and the phone is very secure. I have an iPhone XS. The main problem is that it wants to cover the camera. So if you are using the face ID function, it wont work as the camera is covered up.
Great idea but doesn’t work on any of my bikes
I pulled this out of the box and immediately thought I messed up and didn't see how this thing could possibly work for its intended purpose. I didn't even think it would survive the fitting. Boy, was I wrong. First of all, the installation on the handlebar stem is ridiculously simple and strong--I've done several rides and it hasn't even moved. I don't know if in time it will stretch a bit and require re-adjusting, but so far, after one plus month, it is holding firm. Secondly, I also did not think the straps that hold the phone, would, well, hold the phone. Again, I have to admit, that the quality of the silicone is such that not only does it hold the phone in place, it holds it securely, and vibration-free. For a product I thought that I'd be returning the second I saw it, to actually using it--I have to say, this is a great product at this price, and certainly for my use.
great
The product was very simple to install. I am using an IPHONE 8 Plus and it seem like after a few good stretches the elastic might snap. So far it has held up well.
It's a solid option. I've been using it with iPhone 7 and works good except for the fact that the horizontal brace at the bottom of the phone always ends up right on top of my home button which make it a pain to try and unlock when riding. Great otherwise
